No, you cannot use your Windows password to log into the Group Login page.

Passwort Self Service (PWSS) – only with PKI card

If you have direct access to the VW intranet, you can change your password yourself using your PKI card on https://pwss.vw.vwg. For this purpose, you must log onto your computer using your username and Windows password. Then, put your PKI card into the PKI reader of your computer. Open the "Microsoft Edge" web browser and navigate to the Password Self Service page (see link above) or enter PWSS into the search bar. Login using your PKI card. Navigate to „my Accounts“ and select the system that you would like to reset your password for. To do this for your Microsoft account, search for a listing beginning with „VWAG_AD_VWG…“. Lastly, click on „Request and display new password“.

If you only have indirect access to the VW intranet (e.g., through the computer of a colleague), you can also change your password using your PKI card on https://pwss.vw.vwg. For this purpose, your colleague must log onto their computer using their username and Windows password. Then, insert your PKI card into the PKI reader of the computer. Open the "Microsoft Edge" web browser and navigate to the Password Self Service page (see link above) or enter PWSS into the search bar. Login using your PKI card. Navigate to „my Accounts“ and select the system that you would like to reset your password for. To do this for your Microsoft account, search for a listing beginning with „VWAG_AD_VWG…“. Lastly, click on „Request and display new password“.

The PIN of your PKI card is administered and managed using the Software "trustWare CSP+" or "Nexus Personal". One of these programs is already installed on your computer when you receive it if it is a computer administered by Volkswagen. On a MAC that is administered by Volkswagen, there is the option to open the app „Personal“, select „PIN“, and to then change the PIN under „PIN-administration“.

The Group ID is what was formerly known as the User ID. In most cases, the Group ID consists of alphanumeric characters, for example ABCD123. You cannot use your email address for the Group Login page.
